Filing preparation for law firms
Partner and associate time should not go into covers, tables of authorities and word counts. The engine prepares the filing on your caption, to the court's rules, with every citation checked. Your lawyers review it, sign it and file it, and they remain responsible for it.
Overflow drafting, on your caption
When the docket outruns the team, send the overflow. The engine prepares complaints, petitions, motions, briefs, notices and the record, on your caption and to the rules of the court you name. State or federal, trial or appellate, anywhere in the United States.
Each filing runs through the same 15 phases, 93 defined steps and 3 checkpoints every customer gets. By default, you approve twice, and the whole filing gets a final read before it ships. For a firm, the consult is where your lawyer confirms which filing fits, and the strategy sign-off is where your lawyer approves the plan after it has been attacked, with the one-page assessment. The final read covers the exact pages to be filed. See how the engine builds a filing for each phase.
- The filing, formatted to the court's rules, with every companion document that court requires.
- A citation ledger: each case relied on, where it was fetched from, and why it fits.
- The deadline math, written out, with the rule each date comes from.
- A print-ready PDF, checked page by page.
How citations and pages are checked
Every case citation is checked against the full opinion on four points: the case exists, any quote is word for word, it says what the filing says it says, and no later decision the research finds overrules it. A citation that fails is removed before your lawyer sees the draft.
Each citation that passes gets a ledger row with its source. At the end, the PDF is checked as page images on nine points, from page numbers and caption layout to certificates and signature blocks. Any citation on the page with no ledger row stops the render.
Research output for your lawyers
The research runs both ways. Controlling authority against the position is searched as hard as authority for it, and every adverse case is named with its source. Where no higher court has decided the point, the record says so plainly.
Your lawyers can read that record the way they would read an adverse-authority memo from a junior colleague. It is research for counsel to weigh. It is not legal advice and it does not forecast a ruling. Judgment about the case stays with your lawyers.
The Firm library plan and the connector
The law library puts court rules, statutes and case law inside the AI assistant your team already uses. It holds about 10 million court opinions from 2,197 courts, with 77 million citation links. It matches 3,400 courts to their official court rules across 57 U.S. jurisdictions. It also covers the U.S. Code, all 50 state codes plus DC and Puerto Rico, and the Code of Federal Regulations.
- Firm plan: up to 5 API keys sharing 10,000 calls a day, $149 a month as listed on the pricing page.
- The connector:
https://mcp.legalopsdepot.com/mcp. It is a remote connector with sign-in in the browser. It works in Claude, ChatGPT and any assistant that supports remote connectors with sign-in. - The API: send a POST request to
https://mcp.legalopsdepot.com/with anv1/ tools/ <tool> Authorization: Bearer slo_ak_…header. Make keys at your account's API keys page. The connector and the API share the same daily limit. - Read-only: every public tool reads. Tools look up courts, read and search court rules, list deadlines and limits for a court, read statutes, search and read case law, and list the cases that cite a case and the cases it cites.
One limit to know: the library shows the cases that cite a case and the cases it cites. It flags U.S. Supreme Court cases that have been overruled. It does not tell you whether any other case is still good law. Read more on the law library page.
Custom and volume work
Volume and custom work are priced by quote, not by plan. Tell us the courts, the filing types, the rough monthly volume and the deadlines, and you get a number before work starts. Request a quote, or write to contact@legalopsdepot.com. Single filings are on the price list.
Who is responsible
Your lawyers are. The software prepares papers at your firm's direction. It does not enter an appearance, speak for a client or sign anything. Your lawyers decide what to file, review it, sign it and file it.
Questions law firms ask
Is this a law firm or a staffing service?
Neither. Legal Ops Depot is AI litigation software, not a law firm, and it does not give legal advice. It prepares filings at your firm's direction. Your lawyers remain responsible for what is filed: they review it, sign it and file it.
Whose caption and signature block go on the filing?
Yours. The filing is prepared on your firm's caption, to the rules of the court you name, with your signature block. The software never appears in the case and never signs anything.
How are citations checked?
Every case citation is checked against the full opinion: the case exists, any quote is word for word, the case says what the filing says it says, and no later decision the research finds overrules it. A citation that fails is removed. Each passing citation gets a ledger row showing where it was fetched, and a citation with no row blocks the PDF from rendering.
Does the research show adverse authority?
Yes. The research runs both ways and names controlling authority against the position with its source. Your lawyers can read that record as a research memo. It is research output for counsel to weigh, not a prediction of how a court will rule.
How does the Firm library plan work?
The Firm plan gives up to 5 API keys that share 10,000 calls a day. Keys are made in your account. The same daily limit covers the connector inside an AI assistant and direct API calls. Every public tool is read-only. The current price is on the pricing page.
How is volume or custom work priced?
By quote. Send the courts, the filing types, the rough volume and your deadlines through the quote form, and you get a number before any work starts. Volume work is a quote, not a subscription plan.
